InstaCare Systems would like to pass on their congratulations to one of our maintained homes, Crelake House in Tavistock on its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating.
Crelake House has been awarded an overall rating of ‘Good’ after their latest inspection in May. The home was rated as Good in four areas – safety, effectiveness, caring and well led. With an ‘Excellent’ rating for responsiveness.
In a press article, the owners Andrew and Maureen Maclean said:
‘This is down to the hard work of manager Jenny Collins, her deputy Angela Taylor, together with the seniors and rest of the staff team who have created in the home a caring and welcoming atmos-phere. The home enjoys an excellent reputation in the local area and encourages the residents to keep as much contact as they can with the community. Relatives are encouraged to visit and an excellent rapport has emerged between them and the home.’
The CQC inspector detailed in their report that ‘People were treated with respect, dignity, kindness and compassion. Strong relationships had been formed which helped people feel valued and cared for. People’s health care needs were met by knowledgeable staff who contacted community health care professionals in a timely manner and followed their advice.’
To thank their team, Andrew and Maureen threw a celebratory party for their team last week for their continued efforts and dedication to the care of their residents. They have also gained press interest and their achievements have been detailed in the Tavistock Times which will go to press on Thursday 28th July 2016.
